Daniel Lee Fallis, aka "Dan De Man", was born March 25, 1966 and passed away from this life on June 19, 2018 in Lubbock, TX. At his passing he was surrounded by family and friends who loved and remembered him fondly.
Daniel had a great appreciation for nature and enjoyed being outdoors every chance he could. He was a very good fisherman, if you went fishing with him, he'd more than likely outfish you and teach you more about how to do it better. He would often be found fishing, hiking, and camping with his children. Searching the mountains for arrowheads was one of their favorite things to do all the while helping to instill in them a passion for the land and all of God's handiwork. Danny was very intelligent, his children learned many things from him and loved learning more of what Danny had to teach. He was definitely the life of the party.
Danny was very artistic and had a keen eye. He expressed himself through painting and drawing. He also made numerous arrowheads himself, they've been used to create many art pieces through the years. He was a real ladies man in his life. He loved dancing like John Travolta in his teens to disco music. One of his other nicknames was Disco Duck. In his earlier years he worked in construction and contract painting. He had a very unique way of doing faux finish than any one. He used whole walls to do murals that amazed people with his creativity. He had so many stories of his way of looking at things in this life, most people didn't understand his imagination, except for the people that were around him on a daily basis.
Later in life, his grandchildren brought him such joy. He loved playing games with them and taking them on little adventures on his tandem bicycle. He knew that family was a gift and he spent as much time with them as he could. Danny had so many people that loved him in this life, he will be truly missed.
Daniel was survived by his parents, Cleo and Rosalie Fallis, a daughter Michaela Fallis, a son Abrey Fallis, and Robin Edwards-Lopez, the mother of his children. His grandchildren included Amen Draven, Serenity Euphelia, Ezra Malachi, Mason Abrey, Aaron Matthew, and Adalena Faith. He also left behind his siblings David Fallis, Ruth Ann Johnson, William & wife Tracy Fallis, Virginia Fallis, Sam Fallis, Eladah & husband Nick Waters, Joseph & wife Shannon Fallis, Sherah Fallis, Deborah & husband Jeff Vargas. Danny will also be remembered by many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins along with numerous friends.
Daniel was preceded in death by his daughter Danella Lee, grandparents, several uncles, aunt and cousin.
The family will have a memorial service in one of Danny's favorite places, the family land in Nogal Canyon, New Mexico on the 7th & 8th of July. All family and friends are invited to attend.
