Darrel Schroeder

Darrel William Schroeder, age 80, of Clovis, New Mexico, passed away Tuesday, December 20 2011 at Plains Regional Medical Center in Clovis, New Mexico.

Darrel was born on August 14, 1931 in Bird Island, Minnesota to William and Ella Nelson Schroeder.

He married Norma Mae Streitt on August 31, 1958 in Vancouver, Washington. Darrel joined the United States Army and served his country in the Korean War. He worked as a shop foreman for a farm and as a mechanic. He was a Clovis, New Mexico resident since April 2011, moving to Clovis from Washington State. He loved deep sea fishing, hunting, skeet shooting, bowling, boating and camping.

Darrel is survived his wife: Norma Mae Schroeder three sons: Douglas Schroeder of Longview, Washington, Wesley Schroeder of Dover, Delaware, Craig Schroeder of Gresham, Oregon two daughters: Terry Bean of Longview, Washington, Julie Clark of Kelso, Washington one sister: Vera Iman of Centralia, Washington one brother: Norman Schroeder of Phoenix, Arizona

He was preceded in death by his parents, three sisters: Wilma Johnson, Wanda Deguise and Lucille Shavee two brothers: Wayne Schroeder and Lloyd Schroeder.

At the request of the family, services will be held at a later date.
