David Brockett

David Clyde Brockett, 58, went to be with our Lord on Tuesday, March 22, 2011. He died at Plains Regional Medical Center in Clovis, New Mexico, while surrounded by the love of his family, after a short but valiant fight with cancer.

David was born and raised in Des Moines, Iowa on April 22, 1952. He earned his bachelors degree in English at Drake University before serving in the Air Force as a combat missile crew commander. He spent the past decade as a longhaul truck driver and trainer with Covenant Transport.

David leaves behind his daughter, Amy Pizzaro and her husband Sal of San Jose, California two sons, David Brockett of Jacksonville, Florida, and Michael Brockett of Clovis, NM two beloved grandchildren, Mia Pizzaro and Joseph Brockett. David was married for 32 years to Chris Pettigrew, who remained his best friend until his final days.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, March 26, 2011 at 4:00 p.m. at the SteedTodd Chapel, 800 E. Manana Blvd., Clovis, NM 88101. He will be laid to rest in Harwood, ND, but he will live in our hearts forever.
