David Mendoza

David Mendoza, 85 of Clovis, NM passed away on Monday, November 23, 2015.

He was the widower of Sulema Mendoza. They shared 63 years of a beautiful marriage together.

Born in Karnes City, TX on November 2, 1930 to Benito and Jususita Mendoza. After many years of farming, David then worked for Cameo School and Faith Christian Church. He was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, a CCD instructor, a member of the choir, and was a part of many other services in the church. David will be remembered for his gentle heart, his kindness, for leading a life full of discipline and faith, and for being a leader to his family and friends.

He is survived by his children; Sue Casillas (Rob) of San Bernadino, CA, Sylivia Mendoza of Clovis, NM, Jesse Mendoza (Angie) of Midland, TX, and Rick Mendoza (Lori) of Rio Rancho, NM; his brother Benito Mendoza (Alice) of T or C, NM; sister Lydia Marin (John) of Austin, TX; daughter in law Diane Tomlinson of AZ; 9 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren.

David is preceded in death by his beloved wife, his parents and his brother Alfred Mendoza.

A Rosary will be held 9:30 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe on Saturday, November 28, 2015. A Memorial Mass will be held 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe on Saturday, November 28, 2015 with Father Sanchez officiating.
