Dawn Smith

Dawn Michelle Smith, age 48, of Clovis, NM passed away on Thursday, October 11, 2018. She was born on May 11, 1970 in Clovis, NM to Jerry and Deborah Thomas. She married Johnny Chet Smith on April 11, 2008.

Survivors include: Deborah Thomas of Tucumcari, NM; Eric Thomas of Canyon, TX; one son, Evan J. Michael Kovacs; one daughter, Bayleigh Nicole Smith and husband Johnny Smith.

She is preceded in death by her father, Jerry Thomas; and grandmother, June Brummett.

Dawn was a lifelong resident of Clovis, NM. Dawn graduated from Clovis High School in 1988. She was employed by Southwest Cheese as the payroll coordinator, where she was involved in several events to support local charities. Dawn spoke often of her "Family" at Southwest Cheese.

Dawn loved to cook and play games with her family and friends. She also loved crafting and helping others to the best of her abilities. Dawn was a very loving Wife, Mother, and daughter.

Dawn fought a long battle with cancer, she overcame any obstacle, including cancer with the love and support of her family and friends. Dawn was a True Warrior and a role model for many people.

Memorial services will be held on Sunday the 28"' of October at 4:00pm at 800 Woods St., Clovis NM.
