Deborah Debby Leah PhillipsEllis of Clovis, NM passed away on December 31, 2012 at Plains Regional Medical Center in Clovis.

Debby is survived by her daughter: Shelby Victoria Ellis of Spokane, Washington one stepson: David Gutierrez and his family of Colorado her parents: Nell and Ralph Phillips of Clovis, NM her brother: Byron Phillips and his wife Jessie of Kerrville, TX and their son: Clyde Aaron Phillips of San Antonio, TX as well as many aunts, uncles and cousins in South Carolina.

Debby was born at Shaw Air Force Base in Sumter, South Carolina on January 21, 1955. She was a military dependent child, traveling with her family to Germany, Cannon Air Force Base in Clovis, South Carolina, Scott Air Force Base in Bellville, Illinois and finally settling in Clovis. She was also a military wife and lived in Albuquerque, NM and Spokane, Washington. She graduated from Clovis High School in 1973. Debby was a member of Central Baptist Church in Clovis.

Due to Debbys deep love of animals the family would like to request that in lieu of flowers memorial contributions made in Debbys name be made to the ASPCA of New Mexico or the Humane Society of New Mexico.

Funeral services are at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 3, 2013 at Central Baptist Church in Clovis with Pastor Alan McAlister officiating and Reverend Dick Ross assisting. Burial will follow at Lawn Haven Memorial Gardens in Clovis. Casket bearers are Stan Patterson, Lee Grubb Howard, J.E. Williams, Randy Holland, Leon Kelley and George Ratlidge.
