Denton Modisette

April 2, 1979 — February 3, 2010

Denton Modisette, 30, of Clovis, New Mexico, died Wednesday, February 3, 2010, at his home in Clovis. He was born April 2, 1979, in Clovis to Fred Wanda Koonsman Modisette.

He graduated from San Jon High School in 1997. In his senior year he was homecoming king. He was a member of the Rodeo Club and National Honor Society. He played varsity basketball and was named to the all District Team. He was active in 4H and FFA. He attended Hobbs Junior College on a Livestock Judging scholarship.

He worked as an electrician at Guys Electric for eight years. He was a member of the National Livestock Horse Judging Team and First United Methodist Church of San Jon. He was an avid Dallas Cowboys Fan. He was a loving father, who made Libby the center of his life.

He is survived by his parents, Fred and Wanda Modisette of Clovis 1 daughter, Libby Modisette of the home in Clovis 1 brother, Ty Modisette Terri of Grand Canyon, Arizona 1 nephew, Hayden 1 niece, Mesa and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

Services will be at 2:00 p.m. Monday, February 8, 2010, at First United Methodist Church in San Jon, New Mexico, with Heath Husted and Leo Thrasher officiating. Burial will follow at San Jon Cemetery.

Casket bearers will be Brad Hodges, Weston White, Brent Hodges, Scot Hodges, Jace Priddy, Greg Gardner, Roger Sury and Ryan Wimberly.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association, P. O. Box 11454, Alexandria, Virginia 22312 or to the scholarship fund for Libby at First Community Bank in Clovis, 801 Pile, Clovis, New Mexico 88101.
