Dickey Lopez, age 58, of Clovis passed away on September 12, 2018 in Lubbock with his loving family by his side. He was born on November 18, 1959 in Clovis to the home of Joe Paul and Mary Lopez.
Dickey was a loving son, husband, father, grandfather, uncle, and friend. He served over 15 years in the Army National Guard for New Mexico. He loved to travel and taking his grandkids to the lake, camping, swimming, fishing, and teaching them how to cook. They were his pride and joy. His favorite place to be with them was the Gonzales Ranch. He was a great man who would take you in with open arms & his door was always open like his heart.
He is survived by his wife, JoAnn Lopez of Clovis; Son, David Griego and Daughter & Son in Law of Amarillo, Samantha & Jasper Divina; 4 Grandsons, Jonathan Aburto of Houston, Sammy Lopez & Jasper Lukee Divina of Amarillo, and Antonio Griego of Clovis; Brothers, Raul & Lila Lucero of Clovis, Max Lucero of Clovis, Benny Lucero of Gonzales Ranch, Bonifacio Lopez of Gonzales Ranch, Orlando & Alba Lopez of Clovis, Leroy & Brenda Lopez of Albuquerque, Mike & Esther Lopez of Gonzales Ranch, Tommy & Margaret Lopez of Clovis, George & Josie Lopez of Clovis; Sisters, Julia & Roman Garcia of Clovis, and Corina Sena of Albuquerque.
Preceding his death are his: Parents, Joe Paul & Mary Lopez; Granddaughter, Jazmin Divina; grandparents, sisters, uncles, aunts, cousins, and friends.
Visitation is on Monday, September 17, 2018 from 9:00am to 8:00pm at Steed Todd Funeral Home. A rosary will be recited at 6:00pm on Monday evening the 17th. Mass of Christian Burial is Tuesday, September 18, 2018 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church at 10:30am. Pallbearers are Jonathan Aburto, Sammy Lopez, Jasper Lukee Divina, Antonio Griego, Mike Lopez, Crimson Maes, Lupe Hernandez, and Malachi Price.
