Dollie Opal Elfers, 94, of Clovis died Friday, April 8, 2005, at the Retirement Ranch.brShe was born on July 12, 1910, in Stith, Texas, to John Henry and Annie Lizza Stewart brBerry. brbrShe married Alva Ford Elfers on Oct. 12, 1942. Family members said the greatest joys in her life were her children, grandchildren and greatgrandchildren.brbrShe was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Dec. 25, 1957; and all of herbr17 siblings.brbrSurvivors include three daughters, Joyce Gates and husband, Bill of Clovis, Elaine Ashton John of Albuquerque and Donileta V. Hammons Bill of Laguna Park, Texas; a stepson, Jimmy Elfers Jean of Slidell, La.; five grandchildren, B.J. Gates fiancee, Adrennia Cooper of Farmington, Lisa Gates Ellis Nigel of Pleasant Hill, Calif., Tyler Ashton fiancee, Jamie Fifer of Albuquerque, Shane Drake Lisa of Queens Creek, Ariz., and Billy Skidmore Regina of The Colony, Texas; two step-grandchildren, Craig Elfers of Slidell, La., and Bryan Elfers of California; three great-grandchildren, CassynbrSkidmore of The Colony, Texas, Ashton Drake of Queens Creek, Ariz., and Katie Jane Ellis of Pleasant Hill, Calif.brbrPallbearers are her grandsons, B.J.
