Donald "Hop" Gene Hopingardner
Born June 5, 1959, Rode home May 31, 2017.
Don was born at the Howard County Hospital to Willis J. Hopingardner and Stella JoAnn (Cole)Hopingardner in Big Spring, Texas on June 5, 1959 at 3:34 am. He attended San Benito High School of Hollister, California. He married Junelle Miller on March 20th, 1981 in her mother's home in Clovis. Their marriage was ever lasting and they were one for 36 years and 8 days on her passing. Their separation was short and only lasted 9 weeks and 1 day when he took his last ride to join her.
Hop loved life and enjoyed many numerous activities throughout his journey on Earth. He loved working inside and outside with his hands doing such things as gardening and building on cars. Recently he has been tinkering with remote control aircraft. He loved Volkswagens and motorcycles most of all as modes of transportation. His most current endeavors have been taken on the back of his Harley in the form of small road trips and preparing to go on camping trips with other bike enthusiasts. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle with Junelle and was a member of the Grumpy O' Men Riding Group. No matter who you were, he never minded to help those in need of assistance.
Hop is preceded in death by his wife Junelle, his father Willis Hopingardner, mother Stella Perry, brother Douglas Scot Hopingardner, 2 babies, and numerous aunts and uncles.
