Donnie Wall

June 8, 1958 — October 29, 2011

Donnie Wall was born in Clovis, June 8, 1958 to JL and Betty Wall. He was the littlebrother to Cindy and soon the older brother to Gary. He was influenced by a loving family, four grandparents, Charlie and Willie Wall in the Bethel community and Ray J. and Pearl Lofton in Melrose, four Aunts married to four uncles and twelve first cousins and also a church family in the Melrose Methodist Church.

He was raised on the family farm in the Ranchvale community where his industrious nature grew. He was plowing and driving trucks, welding and fixing from a very early age. By age 8, he had earned enough money, mostly from hoeing sugar beets and farm jobs to purchase his first tractor, a Massy Ferguson 12 Lawn Tractor. During the summers of his high school years, he took advantage of Daddys farm machinery and figured a way to haul the combine behind grain trucks and led a young crew of his brother and friends custom harvesting as far north as they could get during the
season, and making many lifelong friends along the way.

Donnie loved FFA during High School and despite his tendency to lead his many friends into pranks and too much fun, he did quite well. He moved to Canyon and went to college at West Texas University where he was a member of Kappa Alpha. There again, despite being very busy keeping his friends in and out of trouble and continuing to work on the farm, he finally earned a Bachelors degree in Plant Science. He helped on the family farm during some very busy years and bought and ran a feed lot north of Texico in the early 80s. Since 1994, Donnie has worked for Reed Roofing with his friend and business partner, Karlton Reed.

In 1994, Donnies life changed when he began a relationship with Jesus. He eagerly read the Bible and he joined Faith Family Church and began to go on trips to Israel where he was influenced by Sam Soleyn and led into a stronger and deeper faith. Sam told Donnie that he thought they would meet Donnies future wife on a mission trip. One to Villahermosa, Tabasco, Mexico in November 1999 resulted in meeting his bride, Nara Montuy Garcia. They were married November 23, 2001 and now have two sons, Joshua Lael 8 and Daniel Abraham 6 who go to Ranchvale Elementary School. They are part of the church family of Ranchvale Baptist Church and also The Body of Christ, a group of home churches based in Lovington. Donnie realized his greatest calling in being a father. First Nara, then Joshua and Daniel completed him and were the joy of his life.
Cheerful and seemingly healthy, Donnie died suddenly at home with his family on Saturday, Oct 29, 2011.

Some friends of the family have set up an education fund for Donnies boys.
