Doris Scott

Doris Jean Scott, age 84, passed away Sunday, October 23, 2011 at her home in Clovis. She was born on November 28, 1926 to Rufus and Melba Greer in Curry County. . She was a lifelong Curry County resident. She married Curtis Scott on April 15, 1942 in Broadview, NM. She helped her husband on the farm. She loved animals, gardening and reading. She loved to help her family in their business, Plant Works. She loved decorating her home and spending time with her family. She was also a member of Kingswood United Methodist Church.

She is survived by her husband Curtis Scott of the home, one daughter, Cynthia Danny Perea of Clovis, NM one son, Bruce Scott of Broadview, NM one brother Jerry Greer of Clovis, NM three grandchildren, Shawnaree Scott of Broadview, NM, Jennifer Stalcup of Broadview, NM, and Delsa Scott of Ft. Worth, TX one great granddaughter, Shay Lea of Clovis, NM and one cousin, Jean Creighton of Elida, NM.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Rufus and Melba Greer,

Graveside service will held 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, October 26, 2011 at Grady Cemetery, Grady New Mexico with Rev. Don Reid officiating. Casket bearers will be John Wood, Michael Wood, Pat Woods, Chip Lea, Dick Omdal, and Jack Thomas.
