Dorothy Beryl Praul was born March 5, 1921 at Miles City, Montana to parents, Samuel and Ella Custard Owen. She died Tuesday, August 25, 2009 at Regency Hermiston Health and Rehabilitation Center in Hermiston, Oregon at the age of 88.

Dorothy was a resident of Hermiston for the past 8 years and formerly lived in Clovis, New Mexico for 12 years and 18 years in Pendleton, Oregon. She was raised in Louisiana, Missouri. She was a member of Victory Baptist Church in Hermiston and Parkland Baptist Church in Clovis. Dorothy enjoyed crafts, crocheting, traveling, reading, baking, and making blankets, clothing, and dolls for unwed mothers through the Lighthouse Mission in Clovis.

She is survived by Son, Mark Seaton of Tenino, Washington; Step-Son, Allen Praul of Bettendorf, Iowa; Daughters, Linda Achuff of Hermiston; and Terri Marrs of Florence, Colorado; Step-Daughter, Nancy Gregory of Las Cruces, New Mexico; 4 Grandchildren and 6 Great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by Husband, George Praul in 1998; 3 Sisters, Hazel Smith, Allie Ebersole, and Jessie Knowles; 2 Brothers, Archie Clifford Owen.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, August 29, 2009 at 10:00 A.M. at Victory Baptist Church in Hermiston. Burial will take place at 2:00 P. M. Wednesday, September 2 at Lawn Haven Memorial Gardens in Clovis with Pastor Doug Brooks officiating.

Memorial contributions may be made to Victory Baptist Church in Hermiston or to Lighthouse Mission in Clovis, New Mexico.
