Dorothy Pruitt

Dorothy E. Pruitt, 92, of Clovis, NM went to be with the Lord on March 3, 2018 in Clovis. Dorothy was born September 13, 1925 in Quitaque, TX to Carey and Emma Cassady.
Dorothy was a long time member of Sandia Baptist Church. She was also active, for many years, in Melrose Eastern Star. She and her husband John ran Honest John's Welding Shop where she was the secretary. After John's death she continued to work there with her nephew, Kevin Gamble, until December 22, 2015. Dorothy was a good Christian who loved the Lord. She was a very giving and loving person who loved to laugh. She will be dearly missed.
Preceding her in death are her parents, Carey and Emma Cassady; her husband, John Pruitt; brothers, RA and Phil Cassady. She is survived by her nephews, Kevin, Brian, and Doug Gamble; Scott and Kirk Cummings; Monty Bruce and Ray Don Cassady; nieces Belinda Cassady; Terri and Lisa Cummings; and Teresa Cassady; and sisters, Judy Cummings and Beverly (Robert) Gamble.
Visitation will be on Friday, March 9, 2018, 9:00am to 8:00pm at Steed Todd Funeral Home. Services will be on Saturday, March 10, 2018, 1:00pm at Sandia Baptist Church. Burial to immediately follow at Sunset Terrace Cemetery in Farwell, TX.
