Doug Woods

Earl Douglas Woods was born July 10, 1961 to Earl Bennie Castle Woods in Clovis, NM. He died Sunday, October 19, 2008 in Portales, NM. He grew up and attended school in Portales. Doug was disabled. He assisted his father in the family owned Earls Garage. He enjoyed camping and drag racing. He was an avid gardener, raising a large vegetable garden every summer. Doug always had Werthers candy in his pocket and gave it to the kids.

He is survived by his parents; brothers, Rick Kathy Woods and Jeff Woods all of Portales and Martin Judy Woods of Hico, TX; grandmother, Gladys Castle of Clovis; 3 nieces; 3 nephews and 2 great nieces.

He was preceded in death by grandmother, Celeste Woods and grandfather, Ben Castle.

Casketbearers will be Pat Johnson, Chris Coddington, Bubby Welch, Nito Lavato, Raymond Fulton and Dwayne Hardt.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, October 23, 2008, at Portales Cemetery with James Terry officiating.
