Douglas Doug Landrum age 94 of Farwell, TX was born January 21, 1913 in Saltillo, TX to James Marion and Ida Texana Cobb Landrum. He passed away after a lengthy illness Saturday, October 13, 2007 at his home in Farwell, TX. He was a resident of Farwell, TX since 1920. Doug grew up farming and did various jobs in the agricultural area. He married Lola Mae Golaway October 1, 1938 in Clovis, NM. He worked for the City of Farwell Sanitation Department for 27 years and retired in 1988. He loved to play the Harmonica and loved to work all his life. He was a member of the Texico Assembly of God Church in Texico, NM.

He is survived by three sons Champ Landrum of Lubbock, TX; Jack and his wife Becky Landrum of Farwell, TX; Jerry and his wife Lorena Landrum of Farwell, TX; five daughters Betty Coglon of Exira, IO, Colene Lane of Farwell, TX; Kay Landrum of Farwell, TX; Cindy and her husband David Long of Goldsboro, NC; Shelly and her husband Jess Oldham of Abilene, TX; sixteen grandchildren and twenty two great grandchildren and one great-great granddaughter. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; five brothers, Oliver, Elbert, Jesse, Dyke, and Champ Landrum; one sister Inez Smith; and one granddaughter Nicole Long.
Services are scheduled for Wednesday, October 17, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. MST at Steed-Todd Chapel with Rev. Dale Griswald. Burial will follow at Sunset Terrace Cemetery in Farwell, TX. Pallbearers will be Darren Armstrong, David Long, Tim Lane, JR, Marion Lane, Champ Landrum, Jack Landrum, Jerry Landrum, and Jerry Douglas Landrum. Memorial Contributions maybe made to the Texico Assembly of God Building Fund.
