Doyle Thompson was bom to Nicolas and Bertha Thompson of Satin, TX on April 8,br1917. He entered the Army in 1935 and later transferred to the Air Force, retiring afterbr20 years of service in 1955.brbrAfter retiring irom the Air Force, he attended Northern Wyoming Community Collegebrand the Black Hills Teachers College. He earned a Master and Doctorate Degree inbrTheology from Trinity Theological Seminary of Newburgh, Indiana. He was an ordainedbrminister with the Assemblies of God and was a pastor, teacher and evangelist in morebrthan 18 states and Canada over a 50 year period. He married Hazel I. Carey of VVheatland, WY, on July 1, 1938.brbrThompson was preceded in death by his parents, a brother and two sisters. He is survived by his wife, two sons Benton and wife Ruth Thompson of Ragland, LA and Robert and wife Jean of Hilo, HI; one daughter, Joyce Stoddard and husband Douglas of Clovis; seven grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren and on great-great granddaughter.brbrHe was a member of Bethel Assembly of God church of Clovis. He enjoyed golfmg andbrmaking new acquaintances. Lemuel Perry will ofticiate services at Bethel Assembly of God on Friday, April 8, at 11:00 a.m.brbrArrangements are by Steed-Todd Funeral Home of Clovis.
