Dwayne Roberts

Services are scheduled at 10:00 am, Thursday, November 18, 2021 at Parkland Baptist Church for Dwayne E Roberts of Clovis, New Mexico

Mr. Roberts, 86, died November 10, 2021 at his home.

Pastor Wayne Boydstun  will officiate at the services. Cremation has taken place under the direction of Steed Todd Funeral Home and Crematory.

Dwayne was born April 16, 1935 in Clovis, New Mexico, the son of C C Roberts and Mabel Harrell. Dwayne was a man who understood and took his responsibilities seriously. At a young age, he began his career with the Telephone Company. During those early years he found the love of his life, Nelda Lawson, and married her on June 20, 1953 and together celebrated 68 years of marriage this past June. After 31 years of work with the Telephone Company, Dwayne retired to pursue other and varied interests. Not only was he a committed Husband and Father, he was also a man committed to his faith and his church having served as a Deacon for over 40 years. In addition to his committed service to his church and his faith, his many interests included participating in Worship Services, spending time with his family and friends, going camping and fishing and when not involved in one of those activities, you could always find him in his shop doing woodwork of some kind for someone as he was always willing to help anyone at anytime in any way possible.

He is survived by his wife Nelda of the home, son Curtis Roberts of Clovis, son Cliff Roberts and wife Becky of Clovis, 5 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren, his brothers CC (Billy) Roberts, Jr. of Longview, Tx and Lindsay Roberts of Tyler, Tx.
