Earline Jones

Earline Jones, 96 of Clovis, passed away on Thursday, June 11, 2015.

Visitation will be Saturday, 3:00 PM to 5: 00 PM at Steed-Todd Funeral Home. Celebration of Life services will be held at 2:00 PM, Sunday at Steed-Todd Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow at Melrose Cemetery. Dennis Harper will be officiating the services.

Earline Jones was born August 31, 1918 to the late George Earl and Mable (Wilson) Gunnells in San Augustine, TX. She and her family lived in Hobart, OK until Earline was 17 and then moved to Field, NM. She married Clabern Gibbs until his death in 1977. Earline married Albert Jones in 1992 in Clovis.
Earline was an avid homemaker and a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church. She enjoyed painting and ceramics. She was always sewing and making clothes for her family. Earline enjoyed family gatherings where she cooked and visited with family members.

Earline is preceded in death by husbands, Clabern Gibbs and Albert Jones.

She is survived by her children, David Gibbs, Mary Ann McLoughlin and husband John of Gilbert, AZ., Esther Cantrell and husband Roy of Ft. Worth, TX and Phillip Gibbs and wife Suzanne of Clovis, 5 grandchildren, Melissa Frazier, Connie Mobley, Bryan Cantrell, Kristin Lantz and Carrie Miller, and 9 great-grandchildren, a brother, Clyde Gunnels and wife Carol of Clovis.
