Services for E.C. Tooter Fish, age 87 of Ranchvale, NM will be held Tuesday, April 30, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at the First Baptist Church of Melrose with Dustin Hardage and Brother Durwood Wofford officiating. Burial will follow at the Melrose Cemetery in Melrose, New Mexico. Pallbearers will be his grandsons and honorary pallbearers will be Jake Jacobs, Charlie Field, Alford Ray Gibbs, Don Gunn and the Baxter Hall Pool Players Gene Jones, Everett McCormick, Jerry Judah, Frank Lynn, Jack Manning, Larry Gouker and employees.
Tooter was born October 5, 1925 in Ranchvale, NM to Charlie and Goldie Russell Fish. He passed away Friday, April 26, 2013 at Plains Regional Medical Center in Clovis. He attended school at Fields, New Mexico and graduated from Ranchvale. He served in the U.S. Army during WWII. He married Jean Reed September 1, 1951 in Clovis, New Mexico. She preceded him in death February 14, 1989. E.C. worked at the John Deere house in Clovis during the 1950s and 1960s but farming was his lifes passion. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Melrose and attended the Baxter Senior Citizens Center in Clovis.
Tooter is survived by two daughters Geneva Hardage of Clovis, NM Amy Eric Flores of Melrose, NM two sons DeeMikie Fish of Melrose, NM Danny Terri Ann Fish of Melrose, NM grandkids Dustin Mary Ann Hardage, Blaze Melanie Hardage, Keith Fish, Alisha Randy Harrison, Jessica Fish, Danae Fish, Chesnea Fish Seth Clemmons, Kelly Fish, Amanda Fish Blake Switzer, Kyla Fish, Quinton Flores, Nathaniel Flores great grandkids Shay, Kimber, Zach, Sarah, Chris, Darren, Tyler, Shayla, Ethan, Tristan, Kelci honorary grandkids Tammy, Ray, Jay, Bert, Jacob, and Bailey. He is preceded in death by his parents, one Son Terry Fish, one brother Snookie Fish.
