Edith Nathlie Massey, 82, of Clovis, New Mexico died Wednesday, August 1, 2007 at Plains Regional Medical Center in Clovis. She was born May 6, 1925 to S. S. and Thelma Petty and had three brothers: Sidney, Billy Norman and a sister Shirley Kornegay.

Edith was a lifetime resident of Clovis and graduated from Clovis High School in 1942 and her higher education was specialized in business. She started to work at the Superintendents office at the A. T. S. F. railway in 1944 as a stenographer to the Superintendents Chief Clerk and retired in 1986.

She met her husband, Jake Massey in high school and married after graduation. They had one son, Dennis and grandchildren, Patrick Melissa. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Clovis.

She is survived by her husband Jake of the home in Clovis. She was preceded in death by her son; her parents; her brothers; her sister and her grandchildren.

Services were held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, August 6, 2007 at Steed-Todd Chapel with Rev. Joel Horne officiating. Burial followed at Lawn Haven Memorial Gardens.
