Edward Hernandez, age 62, Of Gulf Port, Mississippi, died December 3, 2009. He was born October 22, 1947, in Clovis, New Mexico, to Michal and Lila Casarez Hernandez.
He had worked for the Clovis Schools, Excel, and Newt Butch. He was a Jack of All Trades. He moved to Mississippi in 1998, where he worked as a pipe fitter and welder in shipyards in Gulf Port. He loved playing the guitar, his church and going to Bible Study.
He is survived by one daughter, Linda Dobson of Clovis, New Mexico; two brothers, Michael Hernandez of Memphis, Tennessee and Victor Hernandez of Milbrook, Alabama; 3 sisters, Phyllis Mona Garcia of Radcliff, Kentucky, Patricia Jablonski of Pensicola, Florida, and Gloria Dorta of California, 3 grandchildren, Joe Angelo Martinez of Pine Bluff, Arkansas, Matthew Dean Dobson of Vildalia, Louisiana, and Gabrielle Dominique Dobson of Clovis, New Mexico, the mother of his children, Priscilla Hernandez of Pine Bluff, Arkansas.
He was preceded in death of his parents; 1 son, Edward Dean Hernandez and 1 brother, Phillip Hernandez.
Services will be held at Steed-Todd Chapel on Friday, December 11, 2009. Burial will follow at Mission Garden of Memories.
Pallbearers will be Luciano Griego, Rickey Garcia, Santiago Griego, Jimmy Crawford, Robert Hernandez, Jr. and Phillip Hernandez.
