Edward Moore

Edward Ed Moore, 64, of Clovis, New Mexico, died Thursday, May 28, 2009, at Plains Regional Medical Center. He was born October 29, 1944, in St. Louis, Missouri, to Paul Edward and Virginia June Johnson Moore.

He had been a resident of Melrose, New Mexico, the past seven years where he moved from Boss, Missouri, to live with his brother. He was very active in senior citizen activities in Melrose and had served on the Board of Directors of the Senior Center. He loved to play pool. He served in the 101st Airborn in Vietnam and was a member of American Legion Post 14. He attended Sacred Heart Catholic Church.

Survivors include three sisters, Geraldine Betkte Bill of Vibernum, Missouri, Penny of Twin Falls, Idaho and Melba Wilcox Paul of Azle, Texas; three brothers, Charles Armstrong of the home in Melrose, Frank Moore of Grand Prairie, Texas and Carmin E. Moore of Rolla, Missouri; nieces Viola Noyola of the home in Melrose, Kayla Thompson of Little Elm, Texas and Julya Hawkins Robert of Little Elm.

He was preceded in death by his parents and 1 sister Mary Louise Looney.

Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 3, 2009, at Steed-Todd Chapel in Clovis with Rev. Danny Sanders officiating. Burial will follow at Melrose Cemetery in Melrose.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Wounded Warrior Project, 7020 A. C. Skinner Parkway Suite 100, Jacksonville, Florida 32256.
