Edwin Longley

Edwin W. Turk Longley, age 96, of Farwell, Texas passed away on March 18, 2013 at Farwell Care and Rehab in Farwell, Texas.

He was born on September 20, 1916 in Framingham, Massachusetts to Arthur and Marie Lendroth Longley. Edwin was a Merchant Marine during World War II. He married Rose A. Pageau on August 5, 1972 in East Haven, Connecticut. He worked as a machinist for many years. After retiring, he worked as the grounds keeper for the Farwell Country Club. Edwin retired from there about five years ago.

He is survived by his wife: Rose A. of the home one daughter: Barbara Hutchins of Amarillo, Texas two sons: Edwin Longley, Jr. of Buckeye, Arizona and Paul Longley of Farwell, Texas seven grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents two brothers: Artie and Robert and two sisters: Doris and Ellen

Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 21, 2013 in the SteedTodd Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Joel Horne officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Terrace Memorial Park in Farwell, Texas.
