Elaine Cissy Myers, 63, of Melrose, died Thursday, January 7, 2010, at Presbyterian Hospital in Albuquerque. She was born December 28, 1946 in Clovis, to Raymond Annie Horton.
She was raised in Melrose and graduated from Melrose High School. She worked for two years at First Federal Savings and worked to put Bill through college in Las Cruces at New Mexico State University. She married Bill Myers on September 15, 1967 in Melrose. She later worked at Citizens Bank and was currently owner with Bill of Kwik Lube and AAA Fire Pro for several years in Clovis. She enjoyed her children and grandchildren. She was a member of 16th Pile Church of Christ and enjoyed her church, the people and volunteering.
She is survived by her husband, Bill Myers of the home 2 daughters, Tracy Rucker Lynd of Clovis and Tami Myers of Midland, Texas her mother, Annie Willis of Melrose and 2 grandchildren, J. P. Rucker and Hannah Rucker both of Clovis.
She was preceded in death by her father 1 daughter, Heather Dawn Myers in 1974 brother, Joe Horton and step father, Ox Willis.
Services will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, January 9, 2010, at 16th Pile Church of Christ with Doug Young officiating. Burial will follow at Lawn Haven Memorial Gardens.
Casket bearers will be Charlie Martin, Charlie Rogers, Cecil Nolan, Glen Ray Williams, Bob Salton, Mark P. Myers, Frank Glover and Fred Eichenberger.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, P. O. Box 1856, Clovis, New Mexico 88102.
