Elias Salazar

Elias Z. Salazar, 85 years old of Clovis, NM passed away on Friday, January 15, 2016, in Albuquerque, NM.

Visitation will be on Tuesday, January 19th and Wednesday, January 20th for friends and family. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, January 21, 2016, at Steed Todd Funeral Home with Pastor, David Lombrana of Legacy Life officiating. Burial will follow at Texico Cemetery in Texico, NM. Arrangements are by Steed Todd Funeral Home.

Elias was born in Puerta De Luna, NM to Juan Jose and Transita (Zamora) Salazar on May 20, 1930. He was married to Emma Salazar for 63 years, marrying on May 3, 1952, in Clovis, NM. He worked as tile setter for several years.

Elias is preceded in death by his youngest daughter, Rosetta Salazar: parents, Juan Jose and Transita Salazar; two sisters, Juanita Lopez and Erlinda Garcia; and brother, Antonio Garcia.

Elias is survived by his wife, Emma; two daughters, Barbara of Albuquerque, NM, and Stella from Clovis, NM; five sons, Elias, Jr.; Paul, Albert, Victor and Phillip Salazar all of Clovis, NM. Elias had 19 grandchildren, 57 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Elias Jr., Paul, Albert, Victor, Phillip John, Phillip John Jr. and Phillip Ben Salazar and Bruce Garcia, Benny "BJ" and Anthony Lucero.
The family of Elias wish to extend our sincere thanks to Presbyterian in Clovis and Rio Rancho, NM and all Nurses and Doctors who cared for Elias.
