Elizabeth S. Kaltwasser born April 9, 1923 in Harrisburg, Pa. to Karl and Elizabeth Kramer passed away to her heavenly Father on Sept. 10, 2016.
Visitation will be from Monday til Wednesday from 9AM-8PM at Steed Todd Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be Thursday 15, 2016 at 10:00AM (TX time) at St. John Lutheran Church in Farwell, TX, with a burial to follow at Sunset Terrace Cemetery.
Elizabeth married Gilbert Kaltwasser on Sept 17, 1950 in Clovis NM. Being a city girl she wasn't impressed with her newly wed home that had outdoor facilities and for their first Christmas together Gilbert gave her an indoor toilet.
Elizabeth was involved with the activities or her four children and Gilbert. She was a member of St. John Lutheran Church and was active in the Lutheran Women's Missionary League, leader of the Lutheran Braille Worker's, also a member of the Farwell Convalescent Center auxiliary for over 30 years. She also was the Farwell Chamber of Commerce Women of the Year in 2009.
Elizabeth is survived by one daughter Cheryl (Dale) McCleskey of Mt. Juliet, Tenn. Three sons Steven (Carla) Kaltwasser of Farwell Tx., Rev. Bruce (Barbara) Kaltwasser of Osage Ia., Craig (Kelley) Kaltwasser of Amarillo, Tx.,
Ten grandchildren: Jason, Jodi, Chelsi, Daniel, Erin, Jared, Seth, Rachel, Hannah, Hailey. Twelve great grandchildren Autumn, Amber, Allie, Jack, Brooklyn, Caleb, Callie, Talia, Brinkley, Zion, Maven, Asher and a new great granddaughter to be born in Oct. and Aunt to numerous nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her husband Gilbert and her parents Karl and Elizabeth Kramer.
Pall bears: Daniel Kaltwasser, Jason McCleskey, Gary Haseloff, James Haseloff, Berny Mesman and Josh Lynn.
Memorial may be made to Life in Christ Academy or the Lutheran Braille Workers both in care of St. John Lutheran Church, 725 CR DD, Farwell, TX. 79325
The family Elizabeth made when she became a resident of the Beehive of Clovis was such a blessing to all of us. The family of Elizabeth can never thank them enough for the love and care she received.
