Elizabeth Lorenz

Elizabeth Lorenz, age 97, of Clovis, New Mexico passed away on March 6, 2013 at her home in Clovis, New Mexico.

Elizabeth was born on June 28, 1915 in Fayette County, Texas to William A. and Johanna Meiners Busch. She married John Walter Lorenz on April 16, 1933 in Warda, Texas. He preceded her in death on June 22, 2001. They moved to the South Plains in 1942 and then to the Pleasant Hill area in 1954. She lived in Clovis since 1989. Elizabeth was a homemaker and a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Clovis. She taught Braille and helped with the senior citizens of the church.

Elizabeth is survived by seven children: Wyoneta Buckner of Lubbock, Texas Nadine Andrews of Clovis, New Mexico Maurice Olivia Lorenz of Beaumont, Texas Joyce Lorenz of Albuquerque, New Mexico Jerry Joan Lorenz of San Acacio, Colorado Delbert Jean Lorenz of San Acacio, Colorado and Royce Patsy Lorenz of Clovis, New Mexico daughter in law: Rae Adams of Hudson, Indiana brothers in law: Herman Irma Lorenz of Lubbock, Texas and Marvin Ruth Lorenz of La Grange, Texas nineteen grandchildren four step grandchildren twentyseven great grandchildren three step great grandchildren one great great grandchild and six step great great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents: her husband: John Walter Lorenz one son: John Lorenz, Jr. and two sisters: Irene Wagner and Leona Peikert.

Funeral services are at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 9, 2013 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Clovis, New Mexico with Michael Miller officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Terrace Memorial Cemetery in Farwell, Texas.
