Elizabeth Martinez

Elizabeth Martinez, a beloved member of the Texico, NM community, passed away on September 7, 2024. Born in Del Rio, TX on February 23, 1943, Elizabeth was a devoted homemaker, dedicating her life to caring for her family and creating a warm and loving home. Her joy for life was evident through her love of dancing, music, and spending time with her cherished family and friends.

Throughout her life, Elizabeth found happiness in the simple pleasures, from enjoying car rides to relishing in the company of her loved ones. Her kindhearted nature touched the lives of all who knew her, leaving a lasting impact on those around her.

Elizabeth is survived by her daughters Linda "Sonia" Gonzalez and Patsy (Jesse) Serrano, sons Ruben Escamiila and Joe (Alma) Escamilla, granddaughter Veronica Escamilla. She also leaves behind numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren who will continue to cherish her memory.

In reflection of Elizabeth's life and the love she shared, a Funeral Service will be held at the Steed Todd Funeral Home Chapel on September 13, 2024, at 1:00 pm. Prior to the service, friends and family are invited to pay their respects during the Visitation at the same location at 11:00 am. Following the service, Elizabeth will be laid to rest at Lawn Haven on September 13, 2024, at 2:00 pm in Clovis, NM.

As we gather to honor Elizabeth Martinez's life, let us celebrate the joy she brought to all and the legacy of the love she leaves behind. May she rest in peace, forever remembered and cherished in the hearts of those who knew her.
