Ella Smith

Beloved mother and grandmother, Ella Jean Hartman Smith passed from this life home to be with her Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ on Tuesday, January 11, 2011 in Georgetown, TX. Her life will be celebrated with her family and friends on Saturday, January 15 at 10:00 a.m. at Steed Todd Funeral Chapel. Burial will follow at Mission Garden of Memories in Clovis. Visitation will be from 68 on Friday at Steed Todd Funeral Home. She was born in Afton, TX to Simon and Parthenia Hartman on June 13, 1931. She married Louis William Smith, Sr., in Clovis, NM on January 10, 1959. Her beloved Bill predeceased her May 8, 1987. She was the owner and operator of Tiny Tots Daycare in Clovis for over 20 years.

She is survived by three sons and one daughter: Bobby Wayne Neely, his wife, Kim of Georgetown, TX Troy Lee Neely, his wife Kathie, also of Georgetown, TX Judy Gail Rayner of Albuquerque, NM Louis William Smith, Jr., and wife Tammy of Dallas, TX 13 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren and 3 greatgreat grandchildren. She is further survived by 3 brothers: Grady Hartman of Dallas, TX Joel Hartman of Albuquerque, NM and Charles Hartman of Memphis, TN 2 sisters: Wanda Campbell and Sue Watson of Clovis, NM.

After living in Clovis most of her life, she moved to Georgetown, TX to be near her children 2 years ago. She belonged to Grace Fellowship Church there. She will always be remembered for her love of family, nature and cooking. The family suggests memorials to Lighthouse Hospice of Georgetown, TX.
