In 1969, he became a PGA golf professional. He moved to Clovis in 1985 where he was a golf pro at the country club. Family members said he was an avid sports person and a true gentIe man. They added heparticipated in basketball, baseball, track, semi-pro baseball and was an Amarillo Golden Glove boxing champion.
