Elouise Robertson

Elouise "Shorty" Robertson, age 88, passed away on Tuesday, January 17, 2017 at the Muleshoe Area Medical Center in Muleshoe, Texas. Shorty was born May 18, 1928, daughter of Benjamin Alexander Beauchamp and Stella Arena Clary Beauchamp.

Shorty married the love of her life, Raymond "Cotton" Robertson on October 2, 1946 in Sudan, Texas. Cotton and Shorty ultimately relocated to Farwell, Texas in 1949 where they reared their family and have lived ever since.

The caption under Shorty's graduation photograph from her 1945 Sudan High School yearbook read; "It is better to be small and shine than great and cast a shadow." Shorty was only small in physical stature. To all that new her and blessed to call her wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt, cousin, friend, she cast no shadow. She radiated love, kindness, gentleness, all the attributes that made each of us feel so special. She was a devoted wife, mother and friend. She will be sorely missed.

Shorty is preceded in death by her spouse, Cotton Robertson, both parents, 3 brothers and 3 sisters.

She is survived by her children: a son, Randy Robertson and wife Pamela of Flower Mound, a son, Radney Robertson of Washington, D.C., a son, Roger Robertson of Lubbock, Texas and daughter, Rhonda Webb and her husband Sam of Farwell; twelve grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Memorial Services will be held at First Baptist Church, Farwell, on Saturday, January 21, 2017 at 2:00pm CST (1:00pm MST) with Reverend Russ Ponder officiating. Cremation will take place following the service.

The official visitation is scheduled for Friday, January 20, 2017 from 5:00 to 7:00pm MST at the Steed Todd Funeral Home.

Casket bearers are grandsons: Jody Ketcherside, Stephen Ketcherside, Aaron Hamilton, Jaron Robertson, Jace Robertson, Chance Robertson and Cade Robertson and Great- Grandsons; E.J. Ketcherside, Jordan Ketcherside and Jacob Ketcherside.
