Elva Reed

Elva Lee Reed, 81, of Clovis, New Mexico, died Friday, October 6, 2006 at Retirement Ranch in Clovis. She was born November 25, 1924 in Field, New Mexico to Shutt and Lou Hoover Bond.

She is survived by her husband, Houston Reed of the home in Clovis; 1 niece, Marcine Cunningham of Las Cruces, New Mexico. She was preceded in death by her parents and 1 brother, Johnie Bond.

She was a longtime resident of Clovis. She married Houston Reed December 21, 1940 in Clovis, New Mexico. She was a caretaker. She was a member of Texico Assembly of God where she played the piano.

Casketbearers will be Eddie Miller, Lamon Wilson, Lavon Thomas, Waylon Thomas, Cletus Jones and Ellis Jones.

Services will be at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, October 10, 2006 at Texico Assembly of God, Texico, New Mexico with Rev. Bob Burris officiating. Burial will follow at Melrose Cemetery in Melrose, New Mexico.
