Elvira Montano

Services are scheduled at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, February 24, at Steed Todd Funeral Chapel for Elvira Fabiola Montano of Clovis, New Mexico.

Mrs. Montano, 63, died January 26, 2022 at her home in Clovis.

Rev. Jon Forrest will officiate at the services. Cremation has taken place under the direction of Steed-Todd Crematory.

Elvira was born April 25, 1958 in Clovis, NM, the daughter of Horacio Chavez and Herlinda (Sena) Chavez.

Elvira will be remembered as a Loving Wife, Mother, Sister, Aunt, Grandmother, and Friend. She enjoyed Cooking and Baking especially her Tamales, Tortillas, and Bizcochitos, and sewing, gardening and spending time with her family and her baby boy Leroy Brown Montaño. And always the life of the party.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Robert J Montaño, and her daughter Maria Ann Montaño, her parents, Horacio and Herlinda Chavez, and her sister Margaret Whatley.

Elvira is survived by her sons, Max Chavez (Rose), Mark Montaño (Heather), Leroy Brown Montaño, one brother James Chavez, three sisters, Esther Chavez, Rita (Larry) Hines, Mary (Mark) Lujan, 4 grandchildren, David, Louisa, Nadya, and Fabian, and 1 Great grandchild Emmett.
