Services for Emilia Rodriguez age 82 of Portales will be held Tuesday, June 24, 2014 at 7:00 p.m. with a Rosary recited at St Helens Catholic Church in Portales. Mass of the Resurrection will be held Wednesday, June 25, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. at St Helens Catholic Church in Portales, Jude Rodriguez, Jimmy Rodriguez, Eric Rodriguez, and Ismael Rodriguez will serve as pallbearers.

She was born September 26, 1931 in Anton Chico, New Mexico to Camilo and Jesusita Romo Lucero. She passed away on June 21, 2014 at her home in Portales, New Mexico. She was a homemaker and married Juan Rodriguez November 19, 1956 in Portales, New Mexico. She loved to sew, bake, crochet, paint ceramics gardening and the family stated she was never afraid to work. She was of the Catholic Faith.

She is survived by her husband Juan Rodriguez of Portales, her son Juan Rodriguez Jr. and his wife Isabel of Portales, her daughters Patsy Rodriguez of Portales, Teresa Rodriguez of Portales, and Tammy Ornelas and her husband Carlos of Portales her brother Abelino Lucero of Portales, and sister Amelia Amaro of Portales, twelve grandchildren and twenty eight greatgrandchildren and one greatgreat grandchild. She is preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, and four sisters.
