Emily Bledsoe

Emily Bledsoe, age 90, of Clovis, passed away on Saturday, April 2, 2011 at Farwell Convalescent Center in Farwell, Texas. She was born March 7, 1921 in Cudahy, Wisconsin to Martin and Eva Sedlacek.

Emily married Carl K. Bledsoe on November 18, 1945 in Clovis. They moved to Roswell, New Mexico and opened an office supply store. They soon returned to Clovis and remained in the office supply business, eventually purchasing Clovis Office Supply and Equipment which they ran until retirement.

Emily is survived by one brother, Martin Sedlacek, Sr. one sister, Mary Sedlacek and one sisterinlaw, Virginia Sedlacek, all of Cudahy, Wisconsin. She is also survived by numerous nephews and nieces.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Carl, her parents and one brother.

A Mass of the Resurrection will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, April 6, 2011 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Father Carlos Chavez officiating. Burial will follow at Lawn Haven Memorial Gardens next to her husband in Clovis.
