Erika Zamorano

Erika Zamorano, age 32, of Portales, NM gained her wings to enter Heaven on April 19, 2018 in Portales. She was born on August 3, 1985 in El Paso, TX to the home of Rene and Elia (Gonzalez) Zamorano.

Erika graduated from Portales High School in 2003. After high school, she enrolled in Clovis Community College, where she studied her basics. Erika enjoyed life to the fullest and loved being a mother to her children. Her kids meant the world to her. She always dreamed of going to the beach and furthering her education. Erika will be dearly missed by everyone she knew.

Preceding Erika in death are: her father, Rene Zamorano; aunts, Sonia Zamorano, Magdalena Zamorano; uncle, Lauro Gonzalez; grandfathers, Casimiro Gonzalez and Guadalupe Zamorano. She leaves behind: her son, Abel Daniel Alvarez; daughter, Yazmin Nevaeh Alvarez; mother, Elia Gonzalez; brother, Miguel Gonzalez; and sisters, Angelica Valles and Arlene Zamorano.

Visitation will be at Steed Todd Funeral Home on Thursday, April 26, 2018 from 9:00am to 8:00pm. Celebration of Life services for Erika will be Friday, April 27, 2018, 1:00pm at Faith Christian Family Church, 3401 N. Norris, in Clovis. Burial will immediately follow at Lawn Haven Memorial Garden Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Fernando Perez, John Perez, John Perez, Jr., Mano Martinez, Manuel Gonzalez, and Abel Alvarez. Honorary bearers are all her family.

Erika always laughed, so keep on laughing in her memory, it's music to the soul.
