Ernest Martinez

Ernest “Ernie” Martinez passed peacefully with his mom by his side on February 28, 2022 in Clovis, NM.

A memorial service for Ernie will be held on Friday, March 11, 2022 at 2:00 pm in the Steed Todd Funeral Chapel.

Ernie loved to hang out with his mom, recording cassette tapes with music he loved. One of his favorite things to do was cruise on the riding lawn mower. He enjoyed watching Western movies. His favorite snacks were diet soda & chocolate. He loved cruising and fishing with his brother & sisters. Ernest also loved to hang out with his friends from Enmrsh, where he enjoyed riding horses & gathering cows to the pastures. He especially enjoyed his Walkie Talkies and talked to truck drivers often. Ernie was a great uncle to 16 nieces & nephews and 33 great nieces & nephews. He was a beloved nephew to his 4 uncles and 2 aunts.

Ernie is proceeded in death by his grandparents.

Ernie leaves behind step dad Paul, mother Patsy Maes, 4 sisters, Bonnie Cordova (Jimmy), Christine Medows (Hank), Cathy S Kaggs (Kevin), Julie Andrada (Albert); 1 brother, Danny Maes (Stella) and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family of Ernie would like to thank everyone for their prayers and kind words.
