Esequiel Cordova

Esequiel L. Cordova (Zeke) of Brighton, Colorado passed away on Friday May 24, 2024. He was born in Roswell, New Mexico to Catalina (Kathy) Martinez and Fernando Martinez on August 14, 1985. He was raised in Clovis and Texico, New Mexico. He was known for his big smile and contagious laughter; he was the life of the party and lit up the room everywhere he went. His greatest accomplishments and loves of his life were his children (Nevaeh, Araceli, Demrie, Xavier).

He loved to live life in the fast lane and took every day one day at a time. He loved to go fishing, sight seeing and on crazy adventures. He created friends everywhere he went and never met a stranger. His love radiated through everything he did. We are thankful for the short time God granted us to spend with him. In this short time, we created forever memories. You will be missed more than you will ever know. Love you always and forever your family.

He is survived by his spouse, Roxanne Escamilla, and children of Brighton, Colorado; his daughters Nevaeh, Araceli, and Demrie Cordova; son Xavier Cordova; stepfather Rogelio Tarango of Log Lane Village, Colorado; sister Claudia (Jesus) Retana of Texico; brother Jose Martinez of Hobbs; nephew Alejandro Retana; nieces Brianna and Kaylee Retana of Texico, and countless aunts, uncles and cousins.

He is preceded in death by his mother Catalina (Kathy) Martinez, stepson Juan Medina, father Fernando Martinez, grandfather Esequiel Cordova Sr., uncles Jerry Montano, Esequiel E. Cordova II and Levy Cordova.

Pallbearers are Jose Martinez, Alejandro Retana, Angela Murillo, Stephanie Jojola, Juan Carlos Cordova and Sylvia Cordova.

Honorary pallbearers are Daniel Pena, Ronnie and Gabriel Montano and Rogelio Tarango.
