Eugene Bargas

Eugene (Gene) Arnold Bargas, of Clovis NM, passed away September 18, 2016 at his home surrounded by friends and family.

Eugene was born December 29, 1936, to Cristobal and Monica Vargas in Logan, NM.

He grew up in Logan, NM. Eugene married Gloria Garcia in Clovis, NM on May 29, 1954. Eugene and Gloria had 8 children. Eugene worked on farms most all of his life. After he retired from working for others on farms, he became a horse trader and farmer.

Eugene is preceded in death by his wife Gloria Bargas, daughter Geneva Rochelle Bargas; his father and mother Cristobal and Monica Bargas; sons Teddy and David Bargas; his in-laws Cruz and Emily Garcia.

He is survived by 2 sons; Mike and wife Joann Bargas, Mark and wife Cindy Bargas, 3 daughters; Gloria McDowell, Liza Bargas, and Cindy and partner Valentin Quintana; Brothers Jake and Jimmy Bargas; sister Dolores Rodriguez; 15 grandchildren and 28 great grandchildren.

A Rosary will be held 6:30pm at Steed Todd Chapel September 20, 2016.

Funeral Service will be held 10:00am at Steed Todd Chapel September 21, 2016, with Pastor Juan Amarilla of FCFC.

Burial will follow at Mission Garden.

Pallbearers will be Jimmy Bargas, TJ Bargas, Jacob Bargas, Robert Bargas, Rick Bargas, and Lupe Quintana.
