Eugene Floyd Johnson of Tucumcari, NM, formerly of Mineral Point Wl,
passed away after a lengthly illness Feb. 14, 2012 in Tucumcari, NM.

Eugene was born in Minneapolis, MN Sept. 12, 1935 to Joseph T. Johnson and Lily J. Anderson Johnson. He attended Schools there before entering the U.S. Coast Guard in 1957. After being honorabley discharged in 1964 he returned to St. Peter later attending Gustavus Adolphus College where he received a Bacherlor of Arts degree in Nursing in 1968.

ln 1974 he married Ruth ClarkZuKowski and became an instant Father of
three children Mark, Denise and Michael ZuKowski. After working for Superior
Memorial Hospital and a Mental Health Center in Superior, Bethany Childrens
Home in Duluth MN, finally returned to school at UND where in 1985
he received his Masters of Social Work Degree.

ln 1990 he and Ruth moved to Mineral Point Wl where Eugene managed two Mental Health Centers until his retirement in 2001 when they moved to Tucumcari, NM. He worked in Center
Street United Methodist Church teaching classes, sewing as Lay Leader, was active in Methodist Men and sang in the chior. He also worked with Ministery of Hope.

Eugune is survived by his wife of 38 years, Ruth three step children and seven Grand Children. Brother Robert Cy Johnson and wife Erlinda, a sister Florence, three nieces and two nephews all
of Minnisota.

There will be a Celebration of Life service Wed. Feb. 29th at 11:00 am at Center Street United Methodist Church.
