Eugenia Willmon

Eugenia Willmon, age 90, of Canyon, Texas, passed away on Tuesday, April 26, 2011 at Canyon Healthcare. She was born on April 29, 1920 in Memphis, Texas, to Eugene and Bertha Baldwin Cornelius.

Eugenia married Joe Willmon on March 7, 1942 in Los Angeles, California, and moved to Clovis, New Mexico, in 1965. She was a homemaker, enjoyed raising flowers, and was a member of the Methodist Church.

She is survived by her brother, Jimmy Maureen Cornelius of Plainview, TX two sisters, Margie Cline and Sue Kiely, both of Tyler, TX one son, Steve Willmon of Albuquerque, NM three granddaughters, Philana Pace of Tyler, TX, Kelly Thompson of Canyon, TX, and Tracy Gouldy of South Carolina six greatgrandchildren and two greatgreatgrandchildren.

Eugenia is preceded in death by her husband parents a brother, J.W. Cornelius a son, Mike M. Willmon a daughter, Anita Oliphant and a sister, Biff Hogan.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, April 29, 2011 at Mission Garden of Memories in Clovis, New Mexico, David Bachelor officiating.
