Eulalia Vega

Eulalia Vega, age 93, of Clovis, New Mexico passed away on October 13, 2012 at Plains Regional Medical Center in Clovis, New Mexico.

She was born on February 19, 1919 to Habaristo and Rafaela Vega Torres in Cameron, Texas. She married Juan Vega, Sr. on May 11, 1952 in Corpus Christi, Texas. They celebrated their 50th Wedding Anniversary on May 12, 2012.

She enjoyed watching wrestling and novelas and playing bingo. She loved to cook and would feed anyone that came into her home. She also loved to wash clothes, which she did quite often. Eulalia was a loving mother and grandmother. She loved to dance and drink margaritas. She was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church.

Eulalia is survived by her husband: Juan Vega, Sr. of the home her children: Refugia Jose Bustamante of Portales, New Mexico, Joaquin Martinez of Clovis, New Mexico, Gloria Torres of Clovis, New Mexico, Elvira Perez of Clovis, New Mexico, Refugio Eloisa Martinez of Montevideo, Minnesota, Juanita Jose Arzola of Clovis, New Mexico, Juan Vega, Jr. of Clovis, New Mexico, Joaquin Manuel Gloria Vega of Clovis, New Mexico and Margarita Vega of Clovis, New Mexico five generations onehundred and seventy total of grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her children: Alfredo Martinez, Jesus Martinez and Rafaela San Juan.

A Rosary will be recited at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 16, 2012 in the SteedTodd Funeral Home Chapel with Deacon Juan Rodriguez officiating. Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, October 17, 2012 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Clovis, New Mexico with Father Sotero Sena officiating. Serving as pallbearers are, Joe Bustamonte, Jr., Joaquin San Juan, Jose Manuel Vega, Juan Manuel Vega, Jose Arzola, Jr., Juan Ramirez, Eric Martinez, Refugio Martinez, Jr., and Ivan Marcelino San Juan. Burial will follow at Mission Garden of Memories in Clovis, New Mexico.
