Evangelina Vallejo

Evangelina Cha Cha Vallejo, age 82, of Portales, New Mexico passed away on Saturday, March 17, 2012 at Covenant Medical Center in Lubbock, Texas. She was born to Cleto and Guadalupe Dominguez in Brownsville, Texas on April 22, 1929.

She was a homemaker all of her life. She loved to cook, drink coffee and spend time with her grandchildren and greatgrandchildren.

She is survived by one daughter, Norma Vallejo Ramon Ornelas, Sr. of Portales, NM three sons, Marcos Anita Vallejo of Hobbs, NM, Benny Vallejo of Portales, NM, and Chris Vallejo of Portales, NM grandchildren, Joey Vallejo, Chris Mendoza, Orlando Ornelas, Oracio Ornelas, Alicia Orenelas, Ramon Ornelas, Jr., Paul Escobar, and Mark Vallejo and one sister, Guadalupe Dominguez of Brownsville, Texas.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Eugenio Vallejo her parents, Cleto and Guadalupe Vallejo four sisters and two brothers.

A wake service will be held on Tuesday, March 20, 2012 and Wednesday, March 21, 2012, at 6:30 p.m. at La Iglesia Apostolica de La Fe de Cristo Jesus, 509 N. Ave. B, Portales, New Mexico. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, March 22, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. with Pastor Ernesto Gutierrez, officiating. Burial will follow at the Portales Cemetery. Casket Bearers will be Joey Vallejo, Ramon Ornelas, Sr., Orlando Ornelas, Johnny Mendoza, Moises Viera III, and Ramon Ornelas, Jr.
