Evelyn Golightly Glasscock

Evelyn Golightly Glasscock, age 90, entered into rest on Tuesday, June 19, 2012 in Clovis, New Mexico. Evelyn was born on January 18, 1922 in Floydada, Texas to Roy and Flora Fawver. She spent most of her life in Floyd County, Texas where she helped her husband on the farm. When her husband retired, they moved to Clovis, New Mexico in 1984. For the past eleven years, she resided at Retirement Ranch. She was a member of Central Baptist Church in Clovis. She will be remembered for her loving kindness and graciousness. She was adored and loved by her family and all her friends.

Survivors include one daughter Linda Hall and her husband Jerry of Lubbock, Texas and one son, Bob Golightly and his wife Kathy of Ruidoso, New Mexico grandchildren, Kristi ParsonSmith, Kandi Hall, Staci Kilpatrick, Alan Golightly and Julie Golightly, seven great grandchildren and one greatgreat grandson.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Flora Fawver her first husband of 56 years, L.D. Golightly and her second husband of thirteen years, A.L. Glasscock three brothers, Leslie, Carlton, and Earl.

Family will receive freinds at SteedTodd Funeral Home from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 24, 2012.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, June 25, 2012 in the SteedTodd Chapel with Pastor B.J. Brooks, officiating. Burial will follow at Lawn Haven Memorial Gardens in Clovis. Casket Bearers will be her grand children and great grandchildren Kristi ParsonSmith, Kandi Hall, Staci Kilpatrick, Alan Golightly, Julie Golightly, Meagann Parson, Kipp Parson, Tyler Hall, Hunter Rolan, Michael Kilpatrick, and Carman Rolan.
