Evelyn Trinkle, Age 77, of Clovis, NM passed away on May 1, 2014 at Wheatfields Senior Living Community in Clovis, NM.

Evelyn was born December 11, 1936 to J.A. and Lola White Fambro in Garfield, NM.

Following high school, Evelyn married James Smith. Several years following James death, Evelyn married Harold Whitehurst and then upon his death, married Phil Trinkle. Evelyn was a homemaker most of her life. As she would always say, her grandchildren were her pride and joy. She was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles and she loved to dance. Evelyn was a very funny person who usually had a big smile on her face.

Evelyn is survived by two daughters, Barbara and husband Mike Patterson, and Debbie and husband Robert Tyler, all of Clovis, NM one sister, Charlene Mitchell of Ft. Sumner, NM seven grandchildren, Shawn Patterson of Albuquerque, NM, Johnny Patterson, Ashley Patterson and Chris Patterson, all of Clovis, NM, Glenna Combs of Portales, NM, Hope Moyers and James Tyler, both of Clovis, NM and 12 great grandchildren.

In addition to her husbands, Evelyn was preceded in death by her parents, her son, Donnie Smith and two brothers, Bill and Bob Fambro.

Cremation has taken place. The family will have a private family memorial at a later date. The family would like to give a special thanks to Plains Regional Medical Center Hospice and the nursing assistants at Wheatfields for their loving care.
