Federico Ortiz

Federico Ortiz, age 73, passed away at his home in Texico, New Mexico, on January 13, 2024. He was born on September 26, 1950 to Gilbert and Nora Ortiz (Baca) in Clovis, New Mexico and was the third out of twelve children.

Frederico is survived by his children, Nora Jean Ortiz of Albuquerque, New Mexico, Charlotte and husband Ernie Sena of Pecos, New Mexico, Chastity, Jeremiah, and Christopher along with sisters Betty Pullings (Bob) of Clovis, New Mexico; Rebecca Delgado (Raymond) of Lakeworth, Texas; Lupe Acosta (Winston) of Amarillo, Texas; Cynthia Martinez (Jose) of Texico, New Mexico; June Orozco of Clovis, New Mexico and brother Gilbert Ortiz of Clovis, New Mexico; four half-brothers, Jake, Judas, Jesse, and Joel of Clovis New Mexico; numerous nieces and nephews, grand nieces and grand nephews, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his father Gilbert Ortiz, mother Nora Ortiz (Baca), sisters Anna Garcia (Lupe), Corrine Ortiz and Clara Cardoza (Ishmael), brother Moses Ortiz and son Timothy Ortiz; also half-sister April Gonzales.

There will be a rosary and memorial service on March 1, 2024 at Steed Todd funeral Home in Clovis, New Mexico at 3:00 pm, followed by a graveside service at the Texico Cemetery.
