Felix Armenta

Felix Armenta, known as La Ley to close friends and family, passed away peacefully in his home on Wednesday, March 14, 2012 at 84 years of age. He was born on July 9, 1927 in Los Llanos de San Juan de Bautista, Chihuahua, Mexico, to Jacinto Armenta and Guadalupe Ramos de Armenta.

He is preceded in death by his father and mother one sister, Carlota Armenta de Cisneros a brother, Jacinto Armenta a son, Ismael Armenta two daughters, Guadalupe Armenta, and Bernarda Armenta.

He lived in Cuauhtemoc, Chihuahua, Mexico, where he served as a Judicial Police Officer for 17 years before he migrated to Portales, New Mexico in 1980. He worked as a farm laborer in Arch, New Mexico for 20 years.

He is survived by his wife, Margarita Valladarez Armenta of the home numerous children from current and previous marriages Lupe Armenta, Alma Armenta Kamps, Margarita Armenta, Raul Valladarez, Jesus Valladarez, Lucila Jacobo, Julian Armenta, Ana Rosa Perez Armenta, Reymundo Armenta, Felix Armenta, Rosa ArmentaRamos, Octavio Armenta, Sergio Armenta, Ruben Armenta, and Polo Armenta 51 grandchildren and numerous greatgrandchildren.

He was a great man, loving husband, father, and grandfather. He was strong willed, a hardworking man that will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
Viewing and visitation will be taking place at the Fellowship Baptist Church, 820 W. 17th Street, in Portales, on Thursday, March 15, 2012 and Friday, March 16, 2012. Rosary will be held on Saturday, March 17, 2012 at 9:00 a.m. and Mass will follow at 10:00 a.m. at St. Helens Catholic Church in Portales. Burial will take place at the Portales Cemetery with Javier Acosta, Raul Ivan Valladarez, Luis Valladarez, Salvador Jacobo, Gilberto Jacobo, and Carlos Jacobo will be serving as Pallbearers.
