On August 1, 2013 our Lord and Savior received the greatest of angels when Felix R. Garcia, age 63, passed away in his home surrounded by his loving family and friends. A Rosary will be held at 7:00 p.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Clovis, NM on Monday, August 5, 2013. Mass of the Resurrection will be held at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Clovis, NM on Tuesday, August 6, 2013 with Father Sotero Sena officiating. Burial will follow at Lawn Haven Memorial Gardens in Clovis, NM. Pallbearers are Lupe Garcia, Lencho Garcia, Melaquias Garcia, Jr., Joe Gallegos, Jimmy Apodaca, Jr. and Bobby Gutierrez.
Felix Ramon Garcia Mon was born on September 17, 1949 to Melaquias and Eloisa Garcia in Santa Rosa, New Mexico. He was drafted into the United States Marine Corp but enlisted into the United States Army on August 28, 1969 and was honorably discharged on April 12, 1972. He married Virginia Gallegos on August 18, 1973 in Clovis, NM. He was a member of the American Legion and the Knights of Columbus. Felix worked for the Santa Fe Railroad for over twenty years. He was of the Catholic Faith and a very active member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Church. Mon loved to be around his brothers and sisters and there was no one who he would not help. He spent most of his free time with his wife, their children and grand kids and loved them all very much. He loved to work on cars, go camping, fishing, watching Nascar and Wheel of Fortune.
Felix is survived by his wife, Virginia Garcia six children: Raymond, Deborah, Steven, Philip Misty, Albert and Thomas, all of Clovis, NM his ten grandchildren: Sabrina, Ashley, Tristian, Angelina, Breanna, Steven, Cattie, Arianna, Lillyan and Jordan, all of Clovis, NM and his brothers and his sisters: Roman Julia Garcia, of Clovis, NM, Evaristo Garcia of Clovis, NM, Lupe Rachel Garcia of Lubbock, TX, Lencho Fatima Garcia of Clovis, NM, Melaquias Jr Margie Garcia of Clovis, NM, Ellen Denny Ruiz of Clovis, NM, Patsy Ruben Garcia of Clovis, NM and Rebecca Lucero of Las Cruces, NM motherinlaw Helen Gallegos and loved ones: Constance Wilson, Celenia Macias and John Thompson.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Melaquias and Eloisa Segura Garcia his father in law Henry Gallegos three brothers: Juan Garcia, Frank Garcia and Joe Black Garcia and his brother in law Timothy Lucero.
