Fern Myers

Fern A. Myers was born July 17, 1917, to G.H. Harrison and Anna Hamar in Putnam, Dewey Co, Oklahoma.

She is survived by two sons, H. Steven Sharon Myers of Round Rock, TX, Mike H. Debbie Myers of Clovis, NM and one daughter Sylvia F. Myers of Albuquerque, NM DaughterInLaw, Karen Myers of Clovis, NM and SisterInLaw, Joann Hamar of Clovis, NM She was blessed with ten grandchildren and seventeen great grandchildren.

Greeting her on March 19, 2012, at the gates of Heaven were her parents, G.H. Harrison and Anna Hamar her sister Myrtle Burnett of Melrose, NM her brother, Loyd G. Hamar of Melrose, NM her husband, W.S. Myers of Clovis, NM and her son, Olen W. Myers of Clovis, NM.

She graduated high school in Putnam, OK in 1935. She attended Hills Business University in Oklahoma City, OK in 1936. In 1937, she moved to Melrose, NM and took some postgraduate classes at Melrose High School. She married W.S. Myers on January 22, 1939 in Clovis, NM. She and W.S. began Melrose Electric Shop in 1941 and then they moved to Clovis in 1960 and changed the name to Myers Electric. She was a member of Melrose First Baptist Church and when they moved to Clovis she became a member of Central Baptist Church in 1960.

Cremation has taken place and a Graveside Service will be held in the Melrose Cemetery at 4:00 p.m., Saturday, April 28, 2012.
